I got a Backflip through work, and I although find it more fun than the otherwise offered Blackberry Curve, the Curve is much better at being an actual PHONE. I do love the recently upgraded Andriod OS, with the free Google Maps GPS Navigator and rather accurate Voice Search, but the Backflip's CPU is just too slow to handle even simple maneuvers. Tap... wait, tap... wait, woops, wrong app, back, back, wait... Also, the battery life is horrid. Find another Android phone.
