(More customer reviews)I used to own an InCase iPhone case/backup battery and thought that was the greatest invention since the iPhone came out. Come to realize after owning it for about a year, I noticed very quickly that it did not hold a charge as long as it did when I first bought it. When it was new (InCase), it held a charge for 2+ days with moderate usage (i.e. web surfing, games, email, calls, etc.). Almost two years later, I ended up getting another case/battery backup...the Morphie Juice Pack Air. I actually was trying to get another InCase, but realized why they ended up discontinuing it. I found out that the iPhone will consume more battery life if it is left in the charger, thus reducing the overall lifespan of the battery pack - that's why my InCase was traded out after it couldn't even hold up to a day's charge! The Morphie has a handy-dandy power on/off switch, giving you the choice to use the battery backup, should your iPhone need it. Now I can conserve the battery life and only flip it on when I need it. Morphie Drawbacks: the top part of the case slips off easily and almost lost it a couple of times when I would put the phone in my pocket and pull it out, only to have the top come right off and drop to the ground. Another BIG drawback for me is the stupid "microUSB" port...why the f*$ck couldn't they just stick with the standard miniUSB port??? I find myself having to tag around my Morphie Leash...the microUSB cable, in case I need to recharge it while on the road! With so many older cell phones, at least all of the chargers ran on 6-volt miniUSB chargers, so I never had to worry about tagging along an extra cord everywhere I went. Hopefully they eventually change out the port and just "comply" with miniUSB! It's like the BetaMax vs. VHS days...Morphie is the BetaMax with this port!
